Ron Del Barrilito Rum

We visited Apotheke, the award-winning cocktail apothecary here in New York, to craft elevated cocktails using Ron del Barrilito, the finest and oldest Puerto Rican rum. Each bottle of Ron del Barrilito holds premium rum that has been handcrafted using the same methods since 1880. The rum is made in very small batches with absolutely no artificial ingredients or colorings. We spoke with Timmy Ortega, mixologist at Ron del Barrilito, to give some insight into the brand, its heritage cocktails and why he is so passionate about the brand.
