Our choice for an Ultimate Getaway is the Glen Iris Inn.  A Historic Retreat atop a cliff overlooking Middle Falls. Formerly the home of park founder William Pryor Letchworth after he discovered the area during a train ride in 1859. Letchworth entrusted his 1,000-acre estate to New York State in 1906, preserving it for public enjoyment—this gift now forms the heart of the park. Today, the inn boasts 15 period-decorated guestrooms, including 4 upscale suites—two offer views of Middle Falls
